Catering for Learner Diversity: When Three Treasures of GE encounter Three Treasures of Differentiation Strategies

The two presenters from Queen Elizabeth School Old Students' Association Primary School will share their experience in teaching higher-order thinking skills, creativity, and personal and social competence with whole class instruction. They would also introduce the application of tiered questioning, tiered assignments and flexible grouping in guiding students to think in different perspectives and think further. Their classroom teaching not only provides more room and better challenges for the more able students to shine but also provides stronger scaffoldings for the less able to build a better foundation of learning, thus achieving the aim to cater for learner diversity. Such initiative is adopted in Primary 5 General Studies of their school and is viewed as an entry point for further development in different KLAs' teaching.
